Jasmin Gwynne joined Sydney Shoulder Specialists in 2012 and together with Dr Cass and Dr Young established Sydney Shoulder Research Institute that same year.
Overseeing all of the Institute’s research, fellowship and operational activities, she is the first point of contact for SSRI and involved in just about everything.
Jasmin’s role is broad, varied and no two days are ever the same – from designing questionnaires and assessing patients to collecting and managing data; from undertaking literature searches and putting together ethics and governance submissions to coordinating meetings, teaching and working timetables; from arranging registration and accreditation to organising travel, accommodation and visas; from preparing talks and presentations to liaising with public and private agencies; from human resources and bookkeeping to professional development and corporate compliance.
Drs Young and Cass engaged Jasmin Gwynne to establish SSRI and Jasmin now oversees all of the Institute’s research, fellowship and operational activities. Prior to joining SSRI in 2012, Jasmin studied psychology and spent 20 years in health and community services with a 2 year hiatus in the middle where she worked in high end realty marketing.
